It’s the beginning, something new I’m diving in to feet first. In the beginning it’s largely unknown what will come of this, but I think that getting my thoughts out may help me move through my current transitions.

So what’s on my mind lately? A lot, as usual, so we’ll highlight the top three. I’d say the biggest question I muse about is what do I want to do with my career? My job is very focused in writing and I find myself missing interaction with a team more and more. Maybe it’s time to start looking back at traditional marketing. I miss the problem solving I used to do when getting ready for a new product roll out, the team strategy meetings, and feeling like I got to own something from start to finish on a regular basis.

Speaking of jobs, I think it’s time to really look at the finances and put myself on a better budget. I’ve gotten away from being strict about my spending and I think it’s high time to get back to my money management practices. I want to do some traveling next year so it’s time to do some savings plans to make them happen without worrying about other bills.

Which brings to mind books (yea – how about that for a transition?! Budgeting brings to mind bookkeeping, travel brings to mind travel books – that’s right – there’s method behind the madness after all!). Oh…my…gracious, I CANNOT get enough of books right now. Murder mysteries and I are carrying on quite the torrid affair but I’ll save that for another entry!
